Dear Supporter,

In less than a year, voters will decide the future of Detroit area transit.

With your help, the RTA is developing an exciting plan for major transit improvements, a plan that will depend on voter-approved funding.

If approved, we’ll have rapid transit zipping along Woodward, Gratiot, and Michigan every ten minutes, connecting people to jobs throughout the region.

If approved, we’ll finally have a commuter train linking Detroit and Dearborn with Metro Airport and Ann Arbor for workers, students, and visitors alike.

If approved, we'll expand specialized transit services, ensuring aging residents can live independent and fulfilling lives.

Voter approval is far from guaranteed, here in the Motor City. We’ve got a lot of work to do over the next year to help voters understand the benefits of improved public transit. TRU has the plans and the experience. What we need now is your financial support.

TRU has been preparing for more than fifteen years for this opportunity.

TRU worked for years to get the RTA created and is working now to make sure the RTA plan will provide the greatest transit benefits for the whole region.

TRU has analyzed how other metro regions successfully passed transit ballot measures and gained experience running the successful 2014 SMART millage campaign.

TRU helped launch a public support coalition called Momentum bringing together dozens of organizations and businesses to promote the benefits of transit investment.

Now is the time to make it happen!

We're launching a major year-end fundraising campaign to make sure TRU has the financial support to succeed in 2016. Help us raise $25,000 by December 31!

Please donate to TRU today!

Together we will make the difference for Detroit area transit this year. And next year we’ll celebrate together the turnaround of transit in the Motor City!

Thanks,

Megan
