It's an outrage, Supporter!!
The state legislature is about to undermine 60 years of state transportation policy and cut transit out of the transportation funding package!
Please CALL RIGHT NOW to preserve transit funding!
Call your legislators and call the leadership:
- Call Speaker Bolger at 517-373-1787!
- Call Majority Leader Randy Richardville at 517-373-3543.
- Call Governor Snyder at 517-335-7858.
- Call Senate Minority Leader Gretchen Whitmer at 517-373-1734.
- Call House Minority Leader Tim Greimel at 517-373-0475.
Tell them to oppose any transportation funding package that excludes transit!!
Michigan needs to fund reliable transportation options for everyone, not exclude seniors, young people, low income workers, people with disabilities and others who cannot drive!!
If you've already called, THANKS!! Please call again!! The need is that urgent.
Road builders are fighting hard to get something through. We need to fight even harder to make sure it funds not only road repairs, but new buses, Amtrak train service, bike trails, and more.
Please take 5 minutes to make those calls RIGHT NOW!
Then urge your friends and family all throughout Michigan to do the same! Urge them to take action today to support funding the full transportation system.
You can forward this email, spread the word via Facebook, retweet our tweets, or whatever other means you perfer. Legislators from every part of Michigan will decide the fate our transportation funding. Help make sure they hear how important this is!
They’ve only got a few hours to decide, so please take action today!
However you communicate with our state decision-makers, here is the main point that is essential to get across:
Michigan must invest in the full transportation system, NOT leave out buses, trains, trails, and other essential ways people get around. All funding must go through the “Act 51 formula.”
Thanks for your ongoing interest and support!
